Restricted access to water is a problem for us all, not just canoeists. Swimmers, boaters, gorge walkers, rowers and anyone wishing to participate in watersports are restricted to using rivers that have undisputed access or where restrictive permission has been granted. This means that we have no access to 98% of rivers in England and Wales.
